Hugo Ekitike has been a revelation since he joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.
The Reds had a hugely successful transfer window that saw them spend almost £450m on new additions.
However, most of the money is yet to be proven worthwhile as the majority of the new signings have not exactly hit the ground running.
With that said, Ekitike is about the only one who has made a real impact, with the Frenchman establishing himself as a fan-favourite already.
His impact and goals speak for themselves, with many surprised about how well he is competing with Alexander Isak, and former Red Djibril Cisse has admitted he got one thing very wrong about his fellow countryman.

Djibril Cisse surprised by how many minutes Hugo Ekitike has played for Liverpool
When he first arrived, it looked as if Ekitike would be the nailed-on striker to lead the line for the Reds, but then Isak came in.
Costing £125m, almost everyone assumed that the Swede would be the talisman and Ekitike would be the understudy, although that is not the case.
Both are keeping one another on their toes and, if anything, the Frenchman deserves his place in the team more, with Cisse admitting that he is surprised by how quickly he has settled.
“He brings goals. He can score goals. He showed it in Germany, and he’s shown it at Liverpool when he arrived,” Cisse told Get French Football News.
“I was a little scared that he wasn’t going to play much, but I was wrong. He’s playing, he’s doing good, he’s scoring goals.
“He’s bringing different options to Mo Salah and Alexander Isak. He’s a really good player. I know him from France.

“I knew he had the quality to perform, but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting him to be that good, that quick.”
Hugo Ekitike must start vs Manchester United
Liverpool have one of their biggest games up next and Arne Slot will have a big decision to make: Does he start Ekitike or Isak?
Based on form, it simply has to be the Frenchman, with the Reds a much better team when he is starting.
He played a key role for France over the international break too and picked up an assist, as well as playing very little in the second game to suggest that he is rested and ready to go.
As for Isak, he has had a pretty torrid week. He played the full 90 minutes in both of Sweden’s games but failed to score as they fell to defeat in both.
A third 90 minutes in one week would certainly be a lot for him given the summer he has had, suggesting that Ekitike is the obvious choice for this one.
