Liverpool have been known for producing some immense academy talent over the years.
Players such as Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all went on to have impressive Premier League careers, with the latter of the three now playing for Real Madrid.
At the moment, Curtis Jones and Conor Bradley are the two main academy players to feature in Liverpool’s starting XI, with the duo now among Arne Slot’s first-team squad.
Indeed, both are still fighting for their place in the team, but with the way things have panned out thus far, it feels like they could both have long-lasting careers in L4.

However, there’s another player within Liverpool’s academy who’s been making a few headlines over the last few weeks, and it’s not Rio Ngumoha.
Ally McCoist believes Jayden Danns must leave Liverpool if he wants to become England’s next striker
Jayden Danns’ career thus far has been quite a whirlwind.
The number nine was given his Liverpool debut by Jurgen Klopp on 21 February 2024, when he came on in the 89th minute during a 4-1 win against Luton.
Since then, he’s suffered with a fair few injuries, with one even ruling him out for the entirety of his loan spell with Sunderland during the second half of last season.
And, even though he’s injured at the moment, that didn’t stop the Reds’ Under-21 manager, Rob Page, from saying he could become England’s next number nine if he reaches his potential.
And, while live on talkSPORT, Ally McCoist echoed these claims, but the former Rangers man said that Danns had to leave Liverpool to achieve it.
“Not for Liverpool U21s he doesn’t. If he moves, he’s got a chance,” McCoist said.
“I take Rob’s point and I don’t mean to shoot him down in flames.
“I’m not shooting him down in flames because he’s obviously a really talented kid that has impressed Rob Page, and he’s maybe thinking long, Rob’s maybe thinking longer term, right?
“But there’s no way that kid’s breaking in and playing regularly in Liverpool’s first team, really, unless something remarkable happens.”
Harvey Elliott could actually be the one on his way to the England squad after leaving Liverpool
It’s hard to deny that Danns is an exceptional talent.
He’s already bagged three goals across all competitions for the Anfield outfit and, before his recent injury, he even featured for 15 minutes in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup clash.
However, over the last couple of years, it’s been made clear that Harvey Elliott was the much better player.
The attacking midfielder chose to leave Liverpool in the summer to try and get the best out of his career.

Although Liverpool are the team he supports, he’s certainly more likely to be chosen for Thomas Tuchel’s England if he’s playing on a regular basis.
At the moment, he’s arguably seen as one of Aston Villa’s best players, and due to his versatility and vast Premier League experience, he could be well on his way towards becoming a star for England.
And, while Danns still has time to become one, it feels like Elliott will already be there before him by the time he’s given a chance.
That is, especially if he chooses to stay put and fight Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike for their place in Slot’s starting XI.
