Anfield is one of the most iconic stadiums in football.

It’s been Liverpool’s home ground for many years, with plenty of players, pundits, and journalists all lauding the stadium for its atmosphere on a matchday.

In addition to its atmosphere, it also seems to give Liverpool that extra boost when it’s needed the most, much like when the Reds beat Barcelona 4-0 back in 2019.

FSG have chosen to add more and more onto it to turn it into even more of a fortress, and now, a current Barcelona player has admitted that Anfield is the most “impressive” stadium in the world.

As fans will know, Arne Slot’s men have lost their last three games across all competitions.

And, one of the main things that each defeat has in common is that each clash was played away from home.

Not only does this show how important Anfield’s atmosphere is for Liverpool, but it also shows why Wojciech Szczesny believes it’s the most impressive stadium in the world.

“I really love Anfield,” he said to Mundo Deportivo.

“I think for the atmosphere and the fans, I think it’s the most impressive.”

If the last three games have shown Slot anything, it’s that when things go wrong, they go really wrong.

Everything seemed to be going swimmingly at the start of the 2025-26 season, but in reality, Liverpool were actually just getting really lucky.

They scored multiple last-minute winners, with fans thinking they were the best team in the Premier League.

However, as we’ve got deeper into the season, the cracks have started to show, and unless players such as Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak start getting goals or assists, it’s hard to see how they’ll retain the Premier League title.

Of course, it’s still early days and the Reds’ form can turn around, but for now, it feels like Slot may have to rely on Liverpool’s fans when at Anfield to get his first-team squad out of this losing streak.
