Liverpool’s poor spell before the international break has been disappointing for fans.
It was a difficult watch when Chelsea scored in the last minute to win the game 2-1 and extend the Reds’ losing streak to three in a row in all competitions.
This is unfamiliar territory for Arne Slot and his Liverpool side, given the fact that they had remained unbeaten for their first run of games this season.
However, the run will hopefully end following the conclusion of the international break, and maybe everything will click into gear as Slot’s side push on for back-to-back league titles.
As the World Cup qualifiers and international friendlies are taking place, fans of the Reds have been speaking about their run and talking about what needs to be done to fix it.

Liverpool fans all agree that prime Sadio Mane and Fabinho would complete Arne Slot’s side
An X account, Living Liverpool, asked fans out of a selection of former Liverpool players from the past 10 years, which two in their primes they would want in the squad at this current moment.
There was a selection of players, such as recent departures Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, to some older options in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri.
But none of these names cropped up as much or in some cases at all, especially in comparison to Sadio Mane and Fabinho, who fans believe would balance the side.
One wrote: “Any answer other than Fabinho and Mane is wrong.”
Many have seen the lack of an out-and-out No. 6 and the lack of options on the left wing as big issues in the squad this season and feel both of these players in their prime would be the ones to complete the team.

Another name cropped up alongside them as well in the most mentioned, which was Roberto Firmino, whom fans would also pick.
This fan posted: “Bobby was the best of this lot, but to complement the current squad, I’d say Mané and Fabinho. If Matip was an option, I’d have picked him.”
Another agreed: “Sadio and Fabinho so easily what we’re missing. Love Bobby generational player, but Isak and Hugo have a higher ceiling.”
“Mane and probably Fab or Bobby, but don’t underestimate pre-Ox before he got injured, he was so good,” this fan wrote.
A fourth agreed: “Right now, Fabinho and Mane resolve the balance issues in both our defence and attack. I adored Bobby but with Ekitike and Isak he’s not needed.”
One was supremely confident that Mane and Fabinho were the right choices, that they made a bold statement.
They wrote: “Mané and Fabinho in their primes on this team would make us the greatest team of all time.”
Sadio Mane and Fabinho would be the perfect duo
These fans are right in what they are saying; with the balance issues there is in the team currently, it makes sense that both of them could make a huge difference.
Especially Mane, who would provide so many goals and an abundance of creative thought to a team that has at times been lacking it.
While it is great to reminisce about who would be perfect for this Slot side, it is important for fans not to lose sight of the incredible talent who will no doubt take this team forward despite the rough patch.
