Liverpool have had some exceptionally talented players among their ranks over the years.
Players such as Virgil van Dijk, Steven Gerrard, and Luis Suarez are just a few who spring to mind.
Although there was a time not too long ago that felt like the Reds were miles away from winning the Premier League title, the arrival of Jurgen Klopp changed all of that.
Indeed, Brendan Rodgers also gave it his best shot, but in the end, it just wasn’t quite enough.
However, over the last six or seven years, Liverpool have become one of the best teams in the world, with the Anfield outfit even winning the Premier League last term.

And now, some of their players are even being likened to all-time greats.
John Barnes believes Mohamed Salah is better than Ronaldinho and Luis Figo ever were
Mohamed Salah is another one of Liverpool’s players who’s forced his way into their history books.
At the time, the fact that Klopp spent £35million on the Egyptian King was seen as a massive risk.
His previous stint in England with Chelsea was well below par, with most rival fans expecting him to be another Fabio Borini or Lazar Markovic.
However, he’s since become one of the most recognisable faces in football, with John Barnes even believing that he’s better than Ronaldinho and Luis Figo ever were.
While speaking to the Daily Mail’s TikTok, John Barnes was asked to choose who was better out of a selection of attackers.
And, without hesitation, when the likes of Arjen Robben and Luis Figo were brought up, Barnes claimed that Salah was better.
Liverpool have a lot to play for in the 2025-26 season
The 2025-26 Premier League season is going to be a bit of a strange one for Liverpool.
Although they’ve spent a hefty chunk of change improving their ranks, Diogo Jota’s sudden passing will weigh heavily on the heads of his teammates.
It’s been clear since the start of the season that Salah has been massively affected by the passing of his teammate, with most of the team celebrating their first goals in honour of the Portugal international.
However, even though they’ll have that burden to carry around with them this season, it could end up giving them a boost in the way they play as they won’t want to let Jota down.

Of course, it’s still early days, but the fact that the Reds have managed to win all three of their top-flight games against the likes of Arsenal thus far, thanks to several late goals, shows how much fight they have.
And, with the quality they now also have among their ranks after Alexander Isak’s £125million transfer was finally confirmed, it’s certainly going to be a deadly combination this term.
