Liverpool have already had a lot of their players linked with Anfield exits this season, ahead of what is set to be a rather busy transfer window for Arne Slot’s men.
The Reds may have dominated most of the opponents they’ve faced this term, but seeing as though their rivals are likely to strengthen their ranks, Liverpool must do the same.
Indeed, the Anfield outfit may have a decent-sized war chest to dip into for the upcoming window, but with the number of players that have been linked, it’s clear that Slot is expecting to lose some of his squad.
Players such as Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott have already put out cryptic messages hinting that their futures lie elsewhere, with others such as Jarell Quansah featuring on the shortlist of Borussia Dortmund.

Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz are two others who have been linked with moves away over the last few days, but now, the Reds’ stance on the Dutchman’s future has been shared.
Liverpool have shown no signs of wanting to sell Cody Gakpo in the summer
As per a fresh report from the Daily Mail, even though Bayern Munich are ‘keeping tabs’ on the attacker, there is ‘zero indication’ that Liverpool want to sell up.
Vincent Kompany is on the hunt for a new left winger in order to bolster his attacking ranks, with the report adding that Kaoru Mitoma is another player on their shortlist.
The report does, however, say that it is ‘interesting’ that the Dutchman is earning interest from teams such as Bayern.
In reality, however, it’s not all that surprising to see Gakpo being linked with an Anfield exit after the performances he’s put in since the start of the season.

Cody Gakpo’s stats show he cannot be allowed to leave Anfield
Throughout the 2024-25 season, Gakpo has been one of Liverpool’s most prolific attackers and has often single-handedly helped bring a win home.
Indeed, Mohamed Salah has been Arne Slot’s star man this term, with the attacker breaking all sorts of Premier League records, but that doesn’t mean Gakpo hasn’t had a stellar season.
The former PSV man has played as both a striker and a left winger for Liverpool, and even though he’s naturally a left-winger, his outings as a striker have often been on the same level as when he’s used on the flank.
| Season | Games | Goals | Assists |
| 2024-25 | 49 | 18 | 7 |
| 2023-24 | 53 | 16 | 7 |
| Second half of 2022-23 | 26 | 7 | 3 |
Bayern’s interest in Gakpo has only been reported on over the last couple of days, and seeing as though the transfer window isn’t open yet, things could end up changing as we get closer to the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
For now, however, it seems that Liverpool will be keeping hold of their Dutch talisman, which is the best news that fans could have asked for.
