It will be fascinating to see how Liverpool players fare in their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Reds have been in celebration mode since wrapping up the title last weekend and a natural drop-off should be expected.

Gary Neville thinks Liverpool will pay for their partying and get a beating from Chelsea, with the Blues still desperately fighting for a Champions League spot.

Whether Arne Slot decides to rest some of his starting XI is likely to heavily impact the eventual scoreline at Stamford Bridge.

One of those who could be set to come in for a start is Kostas Tsimikas. The left-back has been regularly rotated in by Slot when he decides Andy Robertson could do with a day off.

However, although the Liverpool head coach may be eyeing a rare-ish start for Tsimikas, the Greek has been partying just as much as anyone after the Premier League win. In fact, he has even gone out and gotten himself a brand new Reds-based tattoo.

Kostas Tsimikas unveils Liverpool tattoo

Tsimikas has more than played his part in Liverpool’s title win this season. Having featured in 16 matches – starting seven – he has regularly rotated with Robertson at left-back.

There are strong claims that Tsimikas could leave Liverpool this summer as the club look to provide fresh competition for first choice Robertson.

But if he is to depart Anfield, then Tsimikas will do so with an incredible memento of his time with the Reds.

As per Athens based tattoo parlour Puerto Ink on Instagram, the 28-year-old has permanently marked an image of himself lifting the FA Cup trophy with Liverpool onto the back of his arm.

Tsimikas scored the winning penalty kick in the 2022 shootout against Chelsea, and has tattooed a mocked up newspaper clipping of himself celebrating afterwards.

With the headline ‘Tsimikas brings it back’ as well as sub-heading of ‘WINNERS’ visible, the tattoo is an incredible effort which will act as a permanent reminder of the left-back’s contribution to Liverpool.

Tsimikas can be proud of Liverpool career

Tsimikas has been just about as good a back-up as Liverpool could have hoped for across his five years with the club.

The Greece international has occasionally pushed Robertson out of the team, while being constantly available to provide an alternative option.

As well as becoming the first Greek to ever win the Premier League, Tsimikas’ crowning moment at Liverpool will always be his cooly-taken penalty which clinched the FA Cup three years ago.

Besides that, it shouldn’t be forgotten that the former Olympiacos man also whipped in the corner which Virgil van Dijk nodded home to win the 2024 Carabao Cup too.

Two decisive moments in two cup finals is not a bad legacy to leave for a player who more often than not found himself on the bench. More than that, though, Tsimikas fully immersed himself into Liverpool and if he is to leave he will do so having made a sterling contribution.
