There is, perhaps, one downside to boasting a squad as talented and as deep as the one which has Liverpool on the verge of a second Premier League title.
And it’s that, with the likes of Mo Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Virgil van Dijk obviously nailed-on starters under Arne Slot, opportunities for the next generation are relatively few and far between.
Jarell Quansah could reportedly join Newcastle United after struggling for game time under Arne Slot. With Van Dijk signing his new deal and as Liverpool look to tie down Ibrahima Konate too, Quansah appears likely to remain on the outside looking in should he stick around at Anfield.
Caoimhin Kelleher has been ready for regular first-team football for some time now, meanwhile. Liverpool’s long-serving number two is once again expected to be a man in high demand amongst clubs willing to offer him a starting spot between the sticks.
As for Harvey Elliott, the England Under-21 international is still awaiting his first start of the Premier League campaign with only a week to go before the start of May.

The Daily Mail report that AFC Bournemouth are considering summer moves for both Kelleher and Elliott.
There is, though, a third Liverpool player on The Cherries’ radar.
While some have predicted that Ben Doak may be the man to succeed Mo Salah at some point down the line, confirmation that the evergreen Egyptian will continue to terrorise top-flight backlines for another couple of years has the Scottish starlet facing a potential summer of uncertainty.
The Mail reports that Doak, who’s loan spell at Middlesbrough was cut short by an injury he suffered in January, is under consideration by both Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
Ipswich Town showed an interest in the winter too, though The Tractor Boys’ inevitable relegation could see them removed from any bidding war.
The Mirror believe that Liverpool will ask for a minimum of £20 million for Doak.
Crystal Palace supposedly tested the waters with a £15 million offer a few months ago. Oliver Glasner’s Eagles could return to the table with Doak – a left-footed right-winger capable of breezing past full-backs at will – potentially the man to fill a Michael Olise-shaped void at Selhurst Park.

As for the other young playmaker with admirers on the South Coast, Liverpool supposedly value Harvey Elliott at £40 million
“He’s a talented player. He’s been this for us for so long,” Arne Slot said back in January when quizzed about Elliott’s backseat role post-Jurgen Klopp. “Like it is for him, like it is for all the others, they are in competition with many other good players as well.
“He was very unlucky that, after two games [of the current season], he got injured. He was out for a long time.
“And from what I’ve seen until now, with almost all of our players that have been out for quite a while, in this league, in this tempo, in this intensity, and the quality we have, the other teams have as well, it is not so easy to come back and be at your best immediately.”
