Trent Alexander-Arnold was the hero for Liverpool against Leicester City with a dramatic winner from the bench.
The Anfield superstar made his return from injury in the best possible fashion with a needed goal for the Reds against the Foxes, with the result sending Leicester down to the Championship and putting Liverpool within one win away from the Premier League title.
With Kostas Tsimikas lauding Alexander-Arnold for his performance, the England international is the man of the moment for Liverpool, with supporters pleased with what they saw from the 26-year-old in his comeback performance.
And Michael Owen has now shared his verdict on Alexander-Arnold’s performance at the King Power Stadium.

Trent Alexander-Arnold lauded after ‘absolutely incredible’ Liverpool winner
Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Liverpool striker was impressed with what he saw from Alexander-Arnold, who could not have wished for a more perfect game to make his long-awaited return to action.
Although Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid this summer, few fans will be angry with the defender tonight after today’s performance in the East Midlands, with Liverpool one win away from the Premier League title.
And Owen was pleased with what he saw from Alexander-Arnold this afternoon against Leicester, with the pundit lauding the England international after his match-winning heroics for Liverpool in a critical game.
Owen said: “You couldn’t write it could you? Incredible, absolutely incredible. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s taken a bit of stick, coming back from injury and he comes on to score the winning goal with his left foot. It’s a great moment for him, and a big step forward for Liverpool towards that trophy.”
Who else impressed for Liverpool against Leicester?
Alexander-Arnold was the man of the hour for Liverpool after hitting the winner at the King Power Stadium, with the defender enjoying one of his most poetic moments yet for the Reds.
Yet the fullback was far from the only player to impress for the visitors, with Gary Neville noting Conor Bradley’s performance for Liverpool as the Northern Ireland international once again showed why he could replace Alexander-Arnold next season.
Indeed, Liverpool’s performance against Leicester was far from their best, but the Reds will not be too focused on that with the Premier League title now just one win away with five games of the season left to go.
