Liverpool take on Fulham this afternoon, with Alisson Becker once again missing for the Reds.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper was absent for the Premier League leaders midweek after Alisson picked up a concussion whilst on international duty with Brazil, an injury that is yet to clear up despite taking place over two weeks ago.
With Liverpool having a top backup keeper in Caoimhin Kelleher, though, Alisson’s absence won’t be felt as badly compared to other key players in the squad, with Trent Alexander-Arnold currently out injured for the Reds.
And Arne Slot has now issued an update on when Alisson could be back for Liverpool, with West Ham next up for the Anfield side.

Arne Slot hopeful that Alisson Becker can play vs West Ham
Speaking to BBC Sport pre-match, the Liverpool manager shared his confidence about Alisson featuring against West Ham, with Slot saying: “It’s concussion and as we all know you have to tick all the boxes. Next week hopefully he can play but the protocol means not yet.”
With Kelleher looking shaky against Fulham after a disastrous opening half for the Reds, Alisson’s return against West Ham will be a huge boost for Liverpool as they look to see out the Premier League title in the final matches of the season.
Indeed, Alisson’s influence at the back has been clear for all to see in recent years, where the Brazilian has asserted himself as arguably the best goalkeeper in the world and one of the few undroppable players in the Liverpool squad.
And heading into next week’s tie against West Ham, Liverpool will hope Alisson is again available for selection, with the Reds looking to wrap up the title as soon as possible with such a commanding lead over Arsenal.
Who else is out injured for Liverpool?
Liverpool have been relatively lucky when it comes to injuries this season when compared to their Premier League rivals, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City losing key players for months at a time.
And alongside Alisson and Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool have few injuries to worry about, with Joe Gomez the only other major absentee for the Reds, with the England international expected to be back before the end of the season.
With Alisson due to return next week and Alexander-Arnold fighting back to full fitness, it won’t be long before Liverpool have a completely fit squad again, where the Reds will have an easier time to waltz to the finish line for the Premier League title.
