With Slot’s men seemingly catching the attention of Europe this season, it seems like their impressive performances are rubbing off on the stats as well.
That is because Opta have recently predicted the Reds to win the Champions League, giving them the highest percentage chance of lifting the trophy.
The supercomputer gave Slot’s side a 24.5% winning chance, ahead of the likes of Arsenal (16.95%) and Inter Milan (14.8%).
Who could Liverpool face in Champions League round of 16?
Having achieved automatic qualification, Liverpool won’t have to go through the gruelling task of the play-off round compared to the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Luckily for the Slot, the Reds have no chance of facing either City or Madrid – with Liverpool’s opponents coming from the other side of the draw.
In terms of who Liverpool could face, however, they could be matched up against Monaco, Brest, PSG or Benfica.
Many will see PSG as the biggest challenge for Slot’s side, especially following their recent win over Man City.
The likes of Brest and Monaco however, should not be underestimated with both French sides impressing in Europe this season.
With that being said, Liverpool will undoubtedly fancy their chances against anyone, if they continue their fine form.
