It was not a good weekend for Liverpool fans as they watched their team meekly exit the FA Cup.
The Reds were abysmal away at Plymouth Argyle, deservedly losing to the team sitting dead last in the second division.
Things got off to a bad start on Sunday, when Joe Gomez was taken off injured inside the first ten minutes.
It remains to be seen how bad Gomez’s injury is, but the Liverpool defender is surely set to miss Wednesday’s Merseyside Derby at the very least.
Gomez has had plenty of issues during his career at Anfield, with fitness problems limiting him to 241 appearances in nearly 10 years.
Another player who has been beset by injury woes has been Stefan Bajcetic. And having been taken off with a calf complaint during his full Las Palmas debut on Saturday, Bajcetic has provided an update.

Stefan Bajcetic ready to go again
Just as they were with Gomez, Liverpool fans must have been fearing the worst having heard that Bajcetic had been taken off 78 minutes into his first start on-loan at Las Palmas.
The 20-year-old simply has not been able to get going ever since a problem flared up almost two years ago.
However, early reports after the game suggested that Bajcetic’s injury was not serious and was more a case of the youngster getting used to the intensity of playing in La Liga.
And after taking to Instagram on Sunday, the Spaniard appears to have confirmed that he will be available for Las Palmas’ game against Mallorca next weekend.
“We have to keep fighting together,” Bajcetic posted in Spanish, sharing some shots of him in action for his new club.
“Already thinking about adding Sunday.”
Bajcetic out to prove a point to Liverpool
Had Bajcetic been injured and out for several weeks, it would have been the worst possible start to his loan in Gran Canaria.
The Spain U21 star surely still has a part to play in the senior Liverpool squad next season and if he can become a regular starter in La Liga, he can show why.
Jurgen Klopp called Bajcetic ‘incredible‘ around this time last year and should he stay fit until May, he can be a real bonus to Las Palmas.
Obviously, there’s no guarantee that Bajcetic will start against Mallorca and perhaps he should be managed through the next few weeks.
More game time can only be good for his chances at Liverpool next year, though, so it’s great to hear that Bajcetic is looking ahead.
