Liverpool came up short against Manchester United with the Reds only managing a 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Despite the contradicting form of the two sides, Liverpool saw the points shared at a wet and windy encounter on Merseyside against their biggest rivals in English football, with the Reds missing the chance to go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.

With Jamie Carragher urging Arne Slot to sign Liverpool a left-back after Andy Robertson’s poor performance against United, the Reds will be frustrated with their display on Sunday, with the league leaders miles off their best.
And Steve Nicol has now suggested that Slot made his first real tactical mistake as Liverpool manager.

Slot told he got his Liverpool substitutes all wrong vs Manchester United
Speaking on ESPN FC, the pundit was critical of Slot’s substitutes vs United, with Nicol saying Trent Alexander-Arnold should have been replaced by Conor Bradley the second Mohamed Salah put Liverpool 2-1 up.
Nicol said when discussing Slot’s tactical decisions against United: “The decisions he’s made have been fantastic all season, but I think he made a real boo-boo today when he made his substitutes and get brought on Nunez and Jota.
“I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t bring Conor Bradley on and get Trent Alexander-Arnold off, not because of his passing, but because he was getting stripped for fun every single time Dalot went near him.
“I think that’s the first time this season he’s made a mistake, because 2-1, you get him on [Bradley], stay where you are, make sure you defend, and you don’t lose anything.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold should have been brought off first for Liverpool
To say Alexander-Arnold’s performance against United was poor would be something of an understatement, with the England international enduring one of his worst displays this season for Liverpool.
Slammed by Roy Keane for not being Real Madrid quality and labelled as ‘patheitc’ by Paul Scholes, Alexander-Arnold was nothing short of embarrassed against United, with the fullback looking lost on the cold Anfield turf.
And Slot’s decision to not bring Alexander-Arnold off first was a questionable one, with the Dutch manager making a mistake in not introducing Bradley earlier and trying to shore the backline up with the game at 2-1.
