Liverpool failed to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points as Manchester United managed to snatch a draw at Anfield.
A dramatic game on Merseyside ended with Amad Diallo securing a point for Ruben Amorim’s side as Liverpool were unable to take advantage of both Arsenal and Chelsea dropping even more points in the Premier League title race this weekend.

With Jamie Carragher lauding Alexis Mac Allister’s performance, though, there were some good moments from Liverpool against United, who will be frustrated with how easily they allowed the Manchester giants to get back into the tie.
Yet Pat Nevin pointed out something interesting from Mohamed Salah’s performance for Liverpool against United.

Salah ‘loving every second’ of Liverpool’s match vs United
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Nevin pointed out how Salah was ‘loving every second’ of Liverpool’s encounter with United, with the winger once again on the scoresheet as the Egyptian scored his 18th Premier League goal of the season from the spot.
With Salah’s agent in Liverpool this weekend to discuss the winger’s ongoing contract situation, the forward showed FSG once again why he deserves to be paid whatever he wants in order to stay at Anfield.

And judging from Salah’s body language, the attacker looked as happy as ever out there today for Liverpool, with the 32-year-old potentially hinting that he could be ready to sign a new contract in the coming weeks.
Nevin said: “Mohamed Salah always has a moment against Manchester United. This season seems to have Liverpool written all over it. He hasn’t done a huge amount today but he is loving every second of this.”

FSG have no excuses in contract talks with Salah this month
Salah is now in a position where he is free to talk to rival clubs about a potential transfer in the summer, with the winger arguably the best player in the world as we speak based on current form.
And for Liverpool’s FSG owners, there are no excuses in giving Salah exactly what he wants for his new contract, with the attacker in the type of form that means the ball is in the Reds’ court in regards to what they want to do with the winger.
Indeed, Salah has said his piece on more than one occasion in recent weeks, and Liverpool now need to do what needs to be done if they’re to keep hold of the superstar attacker for the next few seasons.
