Liverpool will think they dropped two valuable points in the Premier League title race but won’t lose too much sleep as it was a fair result in the balance of play.
And Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has singled out three Reds midfielders for special praise after a thrilling game of football at Anfield.
Bruno Fernandes heaps praise on three Liverpool players

Fernandes was in the thick of the action for Manchester United and his midfield battle against the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones was an intriguing one to watch.
Mac Allister was one of the best players on the pitch and Gravenberch continued to show why he’s started every Premier League game for Liverpool, while Jones also got stuck in and tried to make a difference.
Fernandes heaped praise on the Liverpool trio for their performance at Anfield as he spoke about what a difficult battle it was in the centre of the park.
“We know how tough it is to play against Liverpool when they win the ball and they do a big transition,” said the Manchester United captain to Sky Sports after the game.
“They have really fast players and really good players on the ball in the midfield to drive the ball through.
“With Curtis and I think Gravenberch they are probably one of the best in the league. Szoboszlai who didn’t play today and then Mac Allister.”
Mac Allister was at the top of his game for Liverpool
The Argentine midfielder produced one of his best performances of the season against a spirited Manchester United side as he showed his class at both ends of the pitch.
His fantastic volleyed effort was brilliantly saved by Andre Onana, while his passing range was on display several times as he played a handful of glorious passes for the Liverpool attackers to latch on to.
Jamie Carragher lauded Mac Allister for his fantastic performance vs Manchester United and Liverpool will hope he carries on in the same vein in the coming weeks as they prepare to play once every three days.
