The January transfer is well underway and it remains to be seen if Liverpool make any changes to their squad midway through the season.
Arne Slot has endured a fantastic start to life at Anfield, with the Reds leading the way in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League and also faring quite well in the domestic cups.

The possibility of winning silverware in 2025 has led to suggestions that Liverpool could bolster their ranks in January.
However, it now appears as if one Liverpool player on the fringes of the squad is set for a move away from the club.
Federico Chiesa close to leaving Liverpool for Napoli

Liverpool refrained from splashing the cash in the January transfer window as Slot opted to stick to his guns and go with the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.
After Martin Zubimendi rejected a move to Anfield, the Reds didn’t pursue alternatives as they didn’t see enough value in the transfer market.
However, they snapped up Federico Chiesa for a cut-price fee from Juventus, with the Italian frozen out of the squad by Thiago Motta at the time.
The 27-year-old has struggled to get to grips with the Premier League and has featured just four times across all competitions, starting only one game.
There were suggestions that Chiesa could move out on loan, and now, concrete links from Foot Mercato suggest a transfer is well and truly on the cards.
The report states that Napoli are close to submitting a first loan offer for Chiesa, while Slot has already given the green light.
However, the Italy international earns £6.2m-a-season at Anfield, which could be a stumbling block in the deal.
Liverpool have reportedly agreed to pay a part of his wages, but it remains to be seen if all parties involved reach a conclusion in the coming days.
Napoli are also insisting on including an option to sign him permanently, while Liverpool have no intention of offloading him so quickly.
Liverpool should think twice before loaning Chiesa
Chiesa has been described as an ‘incredible’ player by Paulo Sousa and the Italian signed a four-year deal when he joined the club in the summer.
Liverpool always knew it was going to be a long-term project and gave him a mini pre-season midway through the campaign to get him up to speed.
Now, a loan move makes sense for him as he’d get regular game time under his belt in his home country, but we’re not really sure if it’ll serve the purpose in the long haul as Chiesa would once again have to adapt to the football in England when he returns.
Nevertheless, the report claims Slot has greenlit the move and to be fair to the Dutchman, he hasn’t put a foot wrong since taking over the reigns at Anfield.
Time will tell whether Chiesa secures a transfer, but Liverpool should definitely think twice before trimming their squad as they are competing on all fronts this season.
