Liverpool prepare to host Manchester United at Anfield as they aim to cement their status as Premier League leaders.
The Reds are six points clear of second-placed Arsenal despite having a game in hand and will look to heap more misery on Ruben Amorim’s side, who are 14th in the league table.

With a handful of key players returning over the past month, Arne Slot doesn’t have too many injury concerns ahead of the game.
However, he confirmed the Anfield faithful’s worst fears on Joe Gomez.
Joe Gomez faces spell on sidelines for Liverpool

Joe Gomez got an extended run in the team alongside Virgil van Dijk at the back but suffered a crushing injury blow against West Ham United as he was substituted prematurely at the London Stadium.
It was then revealed that the England international suffered a hamstring injury, which was expected to keep him out for a few games.
Jarell Quansah deputized for him against West Ham and is likely to start against Manchester United in Gomez’s absence as he looks to make an impression under the new manager.
And as for Gomez, Slot confirmed that he will be on the sidelines for a few weeks.
“Gomez is not in a good place and he’s out for a few weeks,” says Slot in his pre-match press conference.
Slot confirms Ibrahima Konate and Bradley returns

While Gomez’s absence is undoubtedly bad news for Liverpool, the Dutchman confirmed that Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley are back in full training ahead of the clash against Manchester United.
The game against the Red Devils may come too soon for the pair, who have been out since the 2-0 win against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
However, their return to training is a massive boost for Liverpool and it remains to be seen if they feature in the upcoming games.
“Conor and Konate will train with us for the first time, curious to see where they are up to but the next step is always how you handle team sessions,” continued Slot.
“Rest of the squad? Still have to come in but we trained yesterday and I assume everyone is fit. Not heard anything [to the contrary]. Everyone apart from Gomez is set to be a part of the game.”
