Liverpool are leading the way in the Premier League after their stunning start to life under Arne Slot.
The Reds were expected to go through a bit of a transition after Jurgen Klopp’s departure, but that hasn’t been the case at all as the Dutchman has raced off the blocks at Anfield.
Slot has endeared himself to the Liverpool faithful with his tactical astuteness and calmness on the touchline, with the Reds eight points clear of second-placed Nottingham Forest currently.
There have been talks of the Premier League title returning to Anfield in 2025. And when quizzed about the matter, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville had contrasting predictions.
Carragher predicts Liverpool title win but Neville disagrees

Not even the staunchest Liverpool fan expected such a start under Slot, with the Dutchman winning 24 of his 28 games in charge of the club across all competitions so far.
Players from other Premier League clubs have been blown away by Slot’s tactical knowledge and his ability to make changes that can positively affect a game, which is a sign that no one expected him to make such an impact.
At the start of the season, Carragher predicted Manchester City to win the title, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to complete the rest of the top four in order.
Neville, on the other hand, went for Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea as he left Liverpool out of his top four altogether.
And now, they’ve both changed their predictions based on how the season has gone so far, with Carragher predicting the Reds to win the title.
Neville still fancies Arsenal, although he did remove Manchester United from his predicted top four as they currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League standings.

What next for Liverpool?
Liverpool take on Manchester United at Anfield next in the Premier League as they aim to rub salt into the wounds of Ruben Amorim’s side.
After that, they face Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal, while their FA Cup campaign begins with a game against Accrington Stanley at Anfield.
The Reds did incredibly well to maintain their position at the top in December and can take a major step towards winning the Premier League title with a strong showing in January.
