Liverpool enjoyed a fine evening in the capital on Sunday as they rounded out 2024 in style.
The Reds put West Ham to the sword, taking a 5-0 win and an eight point cushion at the top of the Premier League table back to Merseyside.
As it often has this season, the night mostly belonged to Mohamed Salah.
Salah broke yet another record – this one held by former Liverpool superstar Luis Suarez – to strengthen his grip on both the goals and assists charts this season.
But Salah was not the only member of the Liverpool squad to hit a landmark at the London Stadium. After more than four years at the club, Kostas Tsimikas finally broke 100 appearances for Liverpool.
And speaking as the dust settled on an impressive win for the Reds, Tsimikas made an honest admission about his time at Anfield.

Kostas Tsimikas delighted to reach 100 appearances
Tsimikas will never be the most flashy player in this Liverpool team. The Greek was brought in as a back-up left-back in August 2020 and that is largely what he has remained.
Nevertheless, Kosti is incredibly popular amongst his teammates and has been a solid servant over the years.
His lack of appearances up until this point has largely been down to a debut season in which he played just seven times.
Since then he has averaged 26 games across three campaigns. But speaking to LFCTV after his 100th run out for the Reds, Tsimikas said that he never dreamt of reaching triple figures for a club as big as Liverpool.

“It means everything,” said the No.21. “When I was a young kid my dream was to play in a big team. When I came here I didn’t realise I can reach this number.
“But I’m more than glad and blessed from God because he gave me the power and no injuries to achieve this number. So, I’m really really happy and glad to be here with these players and I think we can achieve many things if we stick together and do what we did until now.”
Tsimikas ready to battle Robertson
Although Tsimikas is not a key man for Arne Slot, his injury absence over the past few weeks has been keenly felt.
Andy Robertson has struggled over recent months and the inability for Slot to rotate Tsimikas in certainly added to that.
| Starts | Substitute Appearances | Subbed Off |
| 60 | 40 | 26 |
| Premier League | Champions League | FA Cup | Europa League | League Cup |
| 56 | 19 | 8 | 6 | 11 |
| Wins | Draws | Losses |
| 69 | 17 | 14 |
Robertson was better against West Ham, but he did still give up a dangerous chance with the score at 0-0 having had his pocket picked up Mohammed Kudus.
Plenty of supporters would like to see a new first-choice left-back added to the team in January, but for now it looks like Slot will press ahead with what he has.
That means that Tsimikas will resume his battle for starting duties with Robertson for the rest of the campaign. That’s a fight which the Greece international has generally lost against the Scot, but he’ll still get the chance to add to his 100 between now and May.
