Liverpool are sitting pretty in first place in the Premier League this Christmas time.
The Reds had their place at the top of the tree under threat from Chelsea heading into Sunday’s round of fixtures.
But after Enzo Maresca’s side could only draw with Everton, Liverpool then blew Tottenham away to sit four points clear.
In short, life is good at Anfield this Christmas. Things could hardly be looking rosier under Arne Slot.
As it has been all season, though, the situations surrounding contracts for Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk continues to cause anxiety.
With each player getting closer and closer to a disappointing exit, it has now been revealed how the Liverpool owners are feeling about things.

All calm on contracts inside Liverpool
Sunday’s thumping of Spurs was another example of just how crucial each of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk is to Liverpool.
Salah broke all sorts of records as he plundered another two goals and two assists.
Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, broke the deadlock in the game with the kind of cross which only he can pull out.
Van Dijk was outshone by Joe Gomez to some extent, but the captain hardly needs to prove anything to anyone anymore.
And despite the closeness the trio are to their respective scheduled ends with the Reds, The Daily Mail report that Liverpool are ‘calm’ about matters.
The ‘word inside Liverpool’ is reportedly in sharp contrast to the outside world, where the noise from fans is said to have been ‘loud.’
But while others stress themselves over it, the Reds are reportedly still zen about the whole thing, with both the club and the players now claimed to be ‘realistic in their demands’.
Will anyone sign before January?
January the 1st has always been circled as a key date in this saga. That’s because Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk can all freely speak to European clubs about joining them from that day.
Given Real Madrid’s interest in Trent, that is especially worrying news about Liverpool’s No.66.
| Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Trent Alexander-Arnold | 21 | 0 | 5 |
| Mohamed Salah | 24 | 18 | 15 |
| Virgil van Dijk | 22 | 2 | 1 |
However, despite that day now fast approaching, it would be a major surprise if the Reds announced any of the three had put pen to paper before then.
Liverpool still have two more games to play in the meantime and the players themselves will likely be fully focused on maintaining their lead in the Premier League.
It is of course possible that something regarding contracts could be announced in between, but we wouldn’t be expecting any Christmas presents unfortunately, Reds.
