The January transfer window is fast approaching for Liverpool, and the rumour mill is starting to heat up in a big way.

AFC Bournemouth defender Milo Kerkez has emerged as a target for Liverpool with Arne Slot believed to be interested in signing players for four positions for the Reds, with a big squad overhaul potentially on the cards in 2025.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold creeping towards a move to Real Madrid, Liverpool fans can expect some big changes at Anfield next year, with January deals potentially in the works as Slot looks to add to his squad to maintain their Premier League title bid.

And Liverpool could now make an audacious attempt for one of West Ham’s star players.

Liverpool to challenge West Ham’s will on selling Mohammed Kudus

According to the Express, Liverpool could challenge West Ham’s ‘determination’ on Mohammed Kudus, with the £90m-rated attacker one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League with Arsenal and Newcastle United also interested in the 24-year-old.

Kudus has been linked with a move to Liverpool for some time, with the West Ham forward making quite a name for himself since joining last summer in east London for his eye-catching performances and ability to create something out of nothing.

With Jamie Carragher tipping Darwin Nunez to leave Liverpool, Kudus could be a dream replacement for the Uruguay international at Anfield, though some discussions with West Ham will have to take place if they’re to drive down the £90m asking price.

Indeed, Kudus’ electric style of playing coupled with a potential open spot in Liverpool’s attack could lead to a deal actually happening in 2025, and the Reds could be wise to make an attempt on West Ham’s resolve for their star player in January, even if a move is unlikely next month.

How much would Liverpool have to pay to sign Kudus?

Although West Ham’s current asking price for Kudus stands at £90m, Liverpool will be guaranteed a lower price in the summer transfer window for the former Ajax star, though not by much.

Kudus has an £85m release clause that becomes active at the end of the season, and West Ham will be expecting the likes of Liverpool to pay full price if the Hammers are to be prized away from one of their best players.

At 24-years-old, though, the financial outlay could be worth it for Liverpool, with Kudus lighting up the Premier League since joining West Ham 18 months ago and looking like a player who could thrive at Anfield with the right players around him.
