Liverpool face Newcastle United tonight in what is being built up as yet another must-win game for the Reds.

Arne Slot’s side head into the fixture off the back of one of their best weeks in recent memory after beating Real Madrid and Manchester City back-to-back, with Liverpool doing so without conceding a goal.

With Eddie Howe confirming that Newcastle could be without Alexander Isak, there’s a real chance that Liverpool could pick up another huge win at St. James’ Park tonight, where the Anfield side could extend their lead at the top of the Premier League if other results go their way.

And Howe has now shared what he’s noticed about Slot’s Liverpool this season.

Howe praises how ‘strong’ Liveprool’s attack looks under Slot

Speaking to the press ahead of tonight’s game, the former AFC Bournemouth has shared how impressed he’s been with Liverpool’s attacking players under Slot, with Mohamed Salah arguably the best player in the world this season since the Dutchman’s arrival at Anfield.

Howe said when asked about Liverpool under Slot: “Very good, very strong. What a week they’ve had when you look at Real Madrid and Manchester City, two very good performances.

“I think they’re a team at the moment playing with full confidence, they’ve still got the hallmark of Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp. But Arne has now had his time with the team and tweaked certain things, that makes them a very difficult proposition because they’ve added new strengths.

“Players are playing well, the forwards are notoriously very strong, so it’s going to need to be a good defensive performance from us, and we’re going to have to pose them questions the other way as well.”

Liverpool winning at Newcastle could be bigger than beating Manchester City

A lot has been made out of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League ties against Newcastle and Everton, with the Reds set to begin a difficult run of fixtures this December.

Which is why a win tonight on Tyneside could be bigger for Liverpool that Sunday’s result against City, with the Reds now at a stage in the season where every win matters if they’re to claim the Premier League title.

Indeed, Newcastle will be a big test for the Anfield side even without Isak, and Slot will hope his forward players can turn up in a big way against the Magpies, where three points could be huge for the Reds.
