Contracts have never been a hotter topic at Liverpool than they are this winter.
The Reds have three huge problems to sort out over the coming months as they scramble to keep Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, the star trio are not the only members of the Liverpool squad who could do with new deals being agreed.
Negotiations are underway with Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate and Rousing The Kop understands there are not expected to be any problems with either player.
Furthermore, RTK can exclusively reveal that Liverpool are also now planning to reward Curtis Jones‘ good form with a long-term deal.
Jones has been excellent so far this season and it’s understood that a plan is being drawn up that would see the Liverpool academy graduate handed a lucrative new contract.

Curtis Jones set for new Liverpool deal
Jones expressed his excitement about working under Arne Slot before the new campaign even started.
And although a niggling injury meant he did not come into the season in Slot’s starting XI, the 23-year-old has since forced his way in.
RTK understands that Slot has been mightily impressed by Jones and both the Liverpool head coach and others inside the club have been delighted by his recent progress.
After recently making his full international debut for England, there’s understood to be a feeling that Jones is now ready to make the step to being a truly senior player at Liverpool.

RTK understands that a proposed new contract for Jones would reflect that new-found status.
It is also understood that in the event Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool this summer, the Reds have real belief that Jones could be one day be a future captain at the club.
Arne Slot impressed by Curtis Jones
Few players have excited supporters quite as much as Jones this season. The Scouser’s development has been there for all to see.
Slot is understood to be a big fan of Jones and sees him as an ideal option as one of Liverpool’s deeper-lying midfielders.

Slot called Jones ‘outstanding‘ right from his first impression and the Dutch coach looks set for the chance to work with his No.17 for a long time into the future.
Jones’ signed his last contract with Liverpool in November 2022, with a deal running until 2027.
