Liverpool staged an impressive comeback to secure a 3-2 Premier League win against Southampton at St Mary’s on Sunday.
The Reds are now eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table and could increase the gap to 11 if they beat the reigning Premier League champions at Anfield next week.

Mohamed Salah was the star of the show for Liverpool against the Saints with his second-half display, but the Egyptian did something for the first time ever since joining the club in 2017.
Mohamed Salah puts pressure on Liverpool with contract plea

Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock, but Southampton took control of the game thanks to goals from Adam Armstrong and Mateus Fernandes.
When the chips were down, Salah stepped up and scored a match-winning brace to give the Reds all three points, the second of which was a penalty.
The Egyptian doesn’t usually speak to the media as much, particularly after games, but this time around, it was different.
According to Daily Mail, Salah actively sought out members of the media to speak with them as he admitted that Liverpool are yet to offer him a new contract.

Granted, the Egyptian is well within his right to put pressure on the club by signaling his desire to stay, but the Reds can do without such distraction ahead of two games that could define their season.
Salah claimed there was no contract offer on the table but appeared to confirm that talks are ongoing between all parties involved, so it remains to be seen how things pan out.
Barcelona are interested in signing Salah on a free transfer and with the 32-year-old confirming that he’s ‘more out than in’ at the moment, the Catalan giants will be licking their lips at the prospect of signing him.
