Liverpool look set to see some movement in their goalkeeping department in 2025.
The Reds currently have some of the absolute best options in the game at their disposal in the first, second and third choice slots.
Alisson Becker is still quite clearly the number one at Liverpool despite his recent injury woes. Alisson looks set to be back soon and his return will be a welcome one at Anfield.
Nevertheless, the brilliant form of Caoimhin Kelleher has meant that the Reds have not missed the Brazilian nearly as much as they might have been expected to.
Kelleher has been sensational over the past couple of seasons and is obviously far too good to be a back-up goalkeeper.
And as the 25-year-old looks ready to move on next year, journalist Fabrizio Romano has commented on some surprising transfer links to Chelsea.

Caoimhin Kelleher is not going to Chelsea
Kelleher had a disappointing evening for Ireland on Thursday, conceding five goals against England.
The five strikes in one evening were more than the four the Irishman has let in across five Premier League appearances for Liverpool in 2024/25.
Nevertheless, his stock is still incredibly high right now and it looks virtually certain that Kelleher will leave Liverpool in 2025.
Having gone through a number of goalkeepers over recent years, one side who could probably do with the Liverpool academy graduate is Chelsea.

But taking to X on Tuesday, transfer expert Romano dismissed rumours that the Blues are looking to sign Kelleher.
“Chelsea are currently not working on deal to sign Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool, despite recent links,” says the journalist.
“No discussions with any other GK at this stage.”
Chelsea would be a good move for Kelleher
Although Liverpool supporters will not want to do any business that could strengthen Chelsea, there’s an argument that it would actually be a really good move for Kelleher.
Enzo Maresca has a fair few goalkeepers to pick from at Stamford Bridge, but none are as good as Liverpool’s back-up.
| Age | Nationality | Appearances 2024/25 | |
| Robert Sanchez | 27 | Spanish | 11 |
| Filip Jorgensen | 22 | Danish | 7 |
| Lucas Bergstrom | 22 | Finnish | – |
| Marcus Bettinelli | 32 | English | – |
If Kelleher was brought in, he could immediately command the number one spot.
And despite the fact that they have been a bit of a circus of late, Chelsea now look like a coherent team who are not so far away from challenging for honours again.
If the Blues pay Liverpool’s asking price, then this would seem more plausible than some would perhaps like to admit. For now, though, it seems as like there is nothing doing.
