Liverpool signed just the one player in the summer but it looks like the club are making firm plans for more than one addition over the next two windows.

The Reds only brought in Italian forward Federico Chiesa but there are suggestions that Chiesa could already leave Liverpool in January.

Naturally, Chiesa would nee replacing and just today, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Takefusa Kubo again.

However, it’s not just in attack where Liverpool are looking to strengthen.

And according to a report from TeamTalk, the Reds are now keen on signing one of the Premier League’s top emerging left-backs.

Liverpool interest in Milos Kerkez confirmed as Andy Robertson under pressure

Despite being top of the league, there have been some suggestions that the Scottish left-back Andy Robertson could be moved on.

Indeed, Darren Bent has predicted that Robertson will be replaced and according to TeamTalk, Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez is a target.

Kerkez has been impressing with the Cherries and this latest interest emerges on the back of reports that Liverpool were scouting Kerkez back in September.

Lauded as being a ‘fast and aggressive’ left-back, the Hungarian star is very much on the radar of others, with Manchester United keen on Kerkez as well.

Kerkez is valued at around the £42m mark, meaning Liverpool would need to shell out a decent sum if they do press on.

Clock is ticking for a number of Liverpool stars

Like with any successful team, there comes a time when the players who have been so successful need to be replaced.

With Liverpool, it looks like we are reaching that stage now, with Robertson among a number of ageing players who could be shifted on.

Virgil van Dijk is into his 30s, Mo Salah the same, while even Alisson Becker is 32.

These players – Robertson included – have been remarkable success stories at Liverpool but their time might be coming.

In terms of Milos Kerkez, he very much feels like someone who would fit in nicely with the Reds and that Premier League experience makes him a smart option.
