2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for Liverpool in terms of transfers and changes to the senior squad.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all due to become free-agents with their contracts set to expire at the end of this season, with the futures of other key Liverpool players also up in the air.

With Alexander-Arnold attracting interest from Real Madrid and Salah set for a move to Saudi Arabia, time is running out for Liverpool to secure their superstar trio to new contracts with the January transfer window just around the corner.

And one rumours Liverpool target now wants to join on the basis of playing alongside Salah.

Omar Marmoush eyeing Salah reunion at Liverpool

According to the Mirror, Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush is keen to play alongside Salah at Liverpool, with the duo already international teammates for Egypt.

As per the report, Marmoush ‘dreams’ of playing with his international captain at Anfield, with Liverpool expected to pay as much as £50m for the Bundesliga superstar in 2025 if the Reds were to move for the winger.

Marmoush has been one of the best players in Europe this season with the 23-year-old attacker scoring 13 goals and assisting another nine in all competitions already for Frankfurt, with the forward viewed as a potential signing for Liverpool.

Yet with Marmoush now keen to join Liverpool and to play alongside Salah, the Reds could be put in an uncomfortable position given how likely it is that their superstar winger is to leave at the end of this season for Saudi Arabia.

Marmoush could become Liverpool’s replacement for Salah

Marmoush has been arguably the breakout star in Europe this season, with Liverpool one of many clubs now interested in signing the Frankfurt attacker after an electric start to the new campaign.

And for Liverpool, Marmoush could become the player who ends up replacing Salah rather than the one who compliments the Egyptian international in the attacker for next season.

As we know, Salah is due to leave next year, and Marmoush’s form makes the Frankfurt talisman an ideal replacement for the Liverpool no. 11 if an agreement can be reached with Eintracht.
