Liverpool moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday after beating Aston Villa.
The Reds knew there was a big opportunity in front of them after seeing Man City lose against Brighton earlier in the day.
It was a nervy match at times against Villa, but goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah got the job done for Liverpool.
Having had a terrific October and November so far, the Reds go into the next international break sitting pretty in the Premier League.
However, not everything went their way on Saturday evening at Anfield as Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced off after just 25 minutes with an injury problem.
On the touchline after the game for TNT Sports, former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman did his best to find out an early diagnosis on Alexander-Arnold’s issue.

McManaman digs for Trent Alexander-Arnold information
Alexander-Arnold’s injury was really the only blot on the copybook for Arne Slot on Saturday.
However, losing his starting right-back and creative centre-piece has the potential to be a damaging blow.
Slot himself would not be drawn on commenting on Trent’s problem immediately after the game, telling TNT Sports that Liverpool will ‘have to wait and see.’
Having taken part in that interview with the Liverpool head coach, McManaman suddenly shot off-screen on the Anfield touchline.

After being called back by presenter Lynsey Hipgrave, the pundit informed her that he’d spotted the Liverpool press officer passing by and had asked him for information on Alexander-Arnold’s condition.
Pushed by Hipgrave to reveal what he’d learned, McManaman admitted that he had not been able to get a proper update
“He said I’m not telling you!” replied the pundit. “He was just about to tell me and you called me back!”
Trent Alexander-Arnold could miss big games
In some ways, this is a good time for any Liverpool player to pick up a knock.
The international break means any problem can be given a little more time to heal.
However, if Alexander-Arnold’s issue hangs over any longer, than Liverpool will really be starting to sweat on the upcoming fixtures.

The Reds play both Real Madrid and Manchester City in the next three weeks and could really do with their No.66 for both of those games.
Bradley came in and did reasonably well for the majority of the game against Villa. But it’s clear that the Northern Irishman is no Alexander-Arnold. Let’s hope we get a clearer update very soon.
