Liverpool have been one of the hardest clubs to decipher in the transfer market as they usually tend to keep their cards close to their chest.
There wasn’t a peep about Federico Chiesa until the deal was at an advanced stage to bring him to Anfield, although the agreement in principle to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili hit the mainstream media as it involved drawn-out negotiations.
The Reds refrained from splashing the cash in the summer but that is unlikely to be the case in the upcoming windows.
And if reports are to be believed, Liverpool are keeping a close eye on one of the most in-form players in the Premier League.
Bryan Mbeumo attracting attention from Liverpool

Bryan Mbeumo was linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer after scoring nine Premier League goals last season, but a transfer never came to fruition.
The Frenchman has continued in his merry ways this time around and has already scored eight Premier League goals, with only Erling Haaland (11) above him in the race for the Golden Boot.
His exploits have spearheaded Brentford to ninth in the Premier League table, which is a fantastic position for them at this stage of the season.

According to talkSPORT, Mbeumo has a price tag of £50m and is wanted by Liverpool, with Arsenal and Newcastle United also keeping tabs on him.
The 25-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer of 2026 but the Bees have the option to extend it by a year, which would put them in a good position to demand a large fee.
Liverpool’s Mbeumo pursuit could depend on Mohamed Salah’s future
Mohamed Salah has been Liverpool’s mainstay on the right wing since moving to the club in 2017 and is widely regarded as the gold standard in that position.
Mbeumo also plays a similar role for Brentford and Liverpool are unlikely to part with £50m for a player who won’t come in as a guaranteed starter.

Salah admitted earlier this season that he’s calm about his future despite his contract winding down, but Liverpool are running out of time to tie him down to a new deal.
If the Egyptian ends up leaving – a situation that would be catastrophic for the Reds – they could press ahead with their interest in Mbeumo in the coming months.
However, Salah has also emerged as one of Liverpool’s best creators and his tally of five assists so far this season shows just how good he is in this regard.
Mbeumo’s career is headed in the right trajectory, but he still has a couple of chinks in his armour before being regarded as one of the very best in the business.
