Liverpool settled for a point against Arsenal after coming from behind twice at the Emirates.
The Reds were far from their best against the Gunners, but got out of one of the toughest away days in the Premier League with a draw.
It means that Liverpool do end the Premier League weekend a place behind they started it, dropping below Man City in second place.
But having been behind on two occasions, they’ll surely be happy with the end result.
Nevertheless, with Arsenal ending the game without their two starting centre-backs, Arne Slot will perhaps feel that Liverpool could have done even more.
And speaking to Sky Sports after the final whistle, Jamie Carragher admitted to feeling ‘disappointed’ with his old club.

Jamie Carragher ‘disappointed’ by Liverpool
Arsenal were comfortably the better side for large swathes of Sunday’s game.
But after Gabriel went off injured, the Gunners had a noticeable shift in mentality.
Missing William Saliba as well, an anxiety seemed to come over the team. They got deeper and deeper and eventually did concede.
Had Liverpool really gone for the jugular at that moment, maybe they could have scored again.

That’s something Carragher seemed to agree with, claiming that the Reds had not been up to scratch in attack,.
“I must say, I was disappointed with Liverpool in the second-half in terms of chances created,” said the Liverpool legend.
“Listen, you go away to title rival, you get a point, you’ll be happy. But you think of the problems Arsenal had, not so much before the game but in the game, the changes they had to make, that makeshift back four. I’d expect them to actually create a lot more in the second-half.”
Liverpool miss big opportunity?
Carragher is right to point out Liverpool’s lack of chance creation against Arsenal.
Salah’s equaliser was obviously a big moment which the Egyptian took exceptionally. But the Reds did not really threaten besides.
That obviously was not for want of trying, but it did feel like there was more Liverpool could be doing.
Mikel Arteta clearly does not trust his defence without Saliba and Gabriel and the Reds should have done more to hammer that point home.
So, while the draw is ultimately a fine result for Liverpool, there will remain a feeling that it could – perhaps should – have been better.
