Liverpool face Arsenal today in what could be one of the biggest games of the Premier League season for the Reds.

Arne Slot’s side sit second in the standings after Manchester City’s win against Southampton yesterday, with a victory today at the Emirates Stadium enough to overtake Pep Guardiola’s men and to increase Liverpool’s lead on Arsenal to seven points.

With Jermaine Pennant backing Liverpool win against Arsenal, the Anfield side are the favourites heading into today’s huge tie in north London, where the Merseyside giants can deliver the Gunners a major blow in their early-season chances of competing for the title.

And Caoimhin Kelleher has now issued a warning shot at Arsenal ahead of Liverpool’s trip to the English capital.

Kelleher says Liverpool will be prepared to face Arsenal this time around

Speaking to the press ahead of today’s game, the Republic of Ireland international shared how Liverpool will be ready to take on Arsenal at the Emirates having lost convincingly in the Premier League during this exact fixture.

With Kelleher receiving praise from Steve McManaman after Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League performance against RB Leipzig, the Liverpool goalkeeper will feel confident about today’s match, with the 25-year-old looking for revenge against Arsenal.

Kelleher said when asked about today’s match against Arsenal: “It’s early days in the title race but it’s still a massive game. We did not get the best result there last season and we will be looking to do better this time.

“It will be really tough and we need to be prepared. I will always back the team as I know the quality we have. It’s going to be a tough game, obviously, it’s never easy at the Emirates but we will do our best to be as well prepared as we can and we will give it a good go.”

Kelleher will want to show up again for Liverpool vs Arsenal

With Jason Cundy in awe of Kelleher after the Cork-born goalkeeper’s performance midweek, the Irish international is currently showing why he is one of the best backup shot-stoppers in the Premier League with Alisson Becker out injured.

And against Arsenal today, Kelleher will want to show why he is as good as he is in what will be a huge Premier League tie for Liverpool, where three points can send a huge message to the rest of the division.

Indeed, Kelleher is in great form heading into today’s match, and the Liverpool no. 2 will want to have another top game against a good side in Arsenal to ensure the Reds come away with all three points once again in the league.
