Liverpool came from behind twice to get a point against Arsenal as the two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal went into the interval with a one-goal lead thanks to Mikel Merino after Virgil van Dijk canceled out Bukayo Saka’s opener for the hosts.
However, Liverpool grew into the game in the second half and scored a late equaliser through Mohamed Salah to get a valuable point away from Anfield.
A handful of players stood out after the interval, but Arne Slot believes one Liverpool player simply doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
Arne Slot lauds Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate

Ibrahima Konate started at the back alongside Virgil van Dijk and was at the top of his game, although he couldn’t have done much to prevent the two goals Liverpool conceded at the Emirates.
Van Dijk got his name on the scoresheet, but the Frenchman didn’t give the Arsenal attackers a sniff and dominated the game, particularly in the second half.
Slot believes Konate is getting better and better with each passing game as he lauded his ability at the back against Arsenal.
“We have to give credit to Darwin and Trent for the goal [Salah’s equalizer] but for me the one that stood out was Konate,” said Slot at a press conference after the game.
“He was very good today and he doesn’t always get the attention he deserves in my opinion.
“He’s asking to be Man of the Match all the time but he’s coming closer and closer to achieve that. He had a great performance today.”
Jamie Carragher also praised Konate’s performance against Arsenal, describing him as Liverpool’s best player by a mile against the Gunners.
