Liverpool are back in Champions League action on Wednesday as they face RB Leipzig on matchday three.
The Reds have been perfect in their opening two fixtures, expertly dispatching both AC Milan and Bologna.
Leipzig will be a stern test too, with the German side currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season. Liverpool will have to be at their best.
Of course the Reds’ fixture is not the only one set to take place on Wednesday, though. There are eight other Champions League games with Barcelona vs Bayern Munich a particular highlight.
Another game that could well be an entertaining watch is Benfica against Arne Slot’s old side Feyenoord.
And according to the Portuguese press, scouts from Anfield will be in attendance to watch the Liverpool head coach’s former team at the Estadio da Luz.

Liverpool set to scout Benfica duo
Champions League nights are always good to give an indication of every player’s level. The standard of the competition is higher than just about every other stage of club football.
As a result, it’s well worth it if Liverpool can watch potential targets and get an idea of whether they’re ready to make the step to play for the Reds.
In terms of Benfica, Liverpool have employed this tactic in the past. Darwin Nunez’s display against the Reds in 2022 was key to him earning a move to Anfield, for example.
Fast forward more than two years and the Reds are reportedly targeting two more players from the Lisbon giants.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, Liverpool scouts will be in attendance on Wednesday to watch both Orkun Kokcu and Alvaro Carreras.
The Reds are said to have watched Kokcu during the matchday two win over Atletico Madrid, while left-back Carreras is now claimed to be on their radar, too.
It is set to be a big night for Kokcu, who captained Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title in 2023. As he comes up against his old side for the first time, Liverpool talent-spotters will seemingly be there to see it all.
Kokcu and Carreras would make sense for Liverpool
While we’ve little doubt that Liverpool will be watching all sorts of players across the world on any given day, Kokcu and Carreras are an interesting pair.
Kokcu has been heavily linked with Liverpool in the past and is obviously extremely well known to Slot.
With Dominik Szoboszlai not fully convincing so far this season in a more advanced role, we wouldn’t mind seeing the Turkey international on Liverpool’s wish list.
Carreras meanwhile is a former Man United youth team player, which could possibly complicate things a touch.
However, the left-back is now fully owned by Benfica and at just 20 is marking himself out as a potential star of the future. Liverpool could do with an Andy Robertson successor in the medium-term future and Carreras is certainly someone they should be aware of.
