Liverpool’s transfer targets for 2025 are starting to become a little clear throughout the international break.
Without any games to look forward to and as the January transfer window gets closer on the horizon, the Reds are starting to be linked with more and more players.
So far, most of the rumours have mostly been centred around potential forward additions to the Liverpool squad.
For example, it has been claimed that Liverpool are watching Omar Marmoush ahead of a possible move next year.
But while the Reds may be in need of a new attacker to take over from Mohamed Salah, they might also be having to search for a defender to succeed Virgil van Dijk.
And with that worrying thought in mind, Caught Offside have claimed that Liverpool have identified two possible options.

Liverpool looking for Loic Bade bargain
Even if Liverpool do manage to tie Van Dijk down to a new contract between now and the end of the season, they could still arguably do with a new centre-back anyway.
There remains a possibility that Joe Gomez will leave, while Van Dijk will be 34 next summer, too.
As a result, Caught Offside report that Liverpool are looking at possible players who could be signed to fill any gaps left and to plan for the longer-term future.
Marc Guehi and Gleison Bremer are named as two who have been ‘on Liverpool’s radar.’ But Guehi has reportedly been deemed too expensive, while Bremer has recently been ruled out for a long while with an ACL injury,

As a result, it’s claimed that Loic Bade and Goncalo Inacio have ’emerged’ as the two favoured options.
Within that, Sporting’s Inacio is said to be viewed as another more expensive option, which could see Bade come through as the Reds’ number one choice.
The 24-year-old is said to have a reasonable £42m release clause woven into his contract at Sevilla and it’s even claimed that there is ‘some confidence’ that Liverpool could get him for cheaper still.
Loic Bade is one to watch for Liverpool
Some Premier League fans may remember Bade for a bizarre loan stint at Nottingham Forest in 2022. But after breaking through at Le Havre and then blossoming at Lens, the centre-back was seen as a real talent prior to that.
Liverpool were even linked with Bade as far back as 2021 as he emerged as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe.
A move to Rennes later that same year proved to be a bit of a misstep, though, before his loan spell at Forest did not yield a single appearance.
After terminating the season-long loan at City Ground in January 2023, Bade then temporarily joined Sevilla. Since then, Bade has been rebuilding his reputation and having joined the La Liga side permanently has been showing why he was so highly rated.
A first call-up to the senior France side came in September this year and Bade has also been called up alongside Ibrahima Konate this time, too. As a young, talented centre-back of burgeoning reputation, Bade is certainly one to watch for Liverpool.
