Arne Slot succeeded Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager this summer, and it’s safe to say that the Dutch coach has been a resounding success.

The former Feyenoord manager has won eight of his nine games in charge with the Reds with Liverpool sat top of the Premier League standings and already in the top-eight of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

Although Slot’s one defeat was a historic one against Nottingham Forest, the 46-year-old coach has been a dream replacement for Klopp at Liverpool, with the Dutch manager making a few adaptations to naturally evolve the Anfield side into the next era.

Slot took a shining to Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch in first Liverpool training sessions

According to the Telegraph, Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch caught Slot’s attention in his first training sessions as Liverpool manager, with the duo since becoming two key players for the Reds this season.

Gravenberch won praise last night from Slot after his ‘outstanding’ performance for Liverpool against Bologna, whilst Diaz has made the left-wing position his own after an impressive five goals and one assist already in all competitions.

Indeed, Liverpool’s form can come down to Diaz and Gravenberch hitting new heights for the Reds under Slot, especially with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker still at their world-class selves.

And with Slot getting a tune out of Diaz and Gravenberch, the pair could become key in Liverpool’s mission to win as much silverware as possible this season, with the duo looking unstoppable at the moment.

Diaz and Gravenberch have been two of Liverpool’s best players this season with the Colombia international looking like a menace down the left-wing whilst his midfield counterpart has looked reborn in the no. 6 role.
