After thrashing West Ham on Wednesday, Liverpool already face another matchday coming quickly over the hill.
The Reds head to Wolves on Saturday as they go in search of three more Premier League points.
Molineux is never an especially easy place to go to – as Liverpool found out back in 2023 – but with Wolves on a run of three consecutive losses, Arne Slot should be confident of a win.
In contrast to Gary O’Neil’s side, the Reds are in full flight right now. With three wins on the spin, Liverpool are looking good.
A huge part of that trio of victories has been the Reds attack. Liverpool have scored 11 goals during wins against AC Milan, Bournemouth and West Ham.
The Liverpool squad has such depth in attack and with both Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz in brilliant form on the left-wing, Slot has a big call to make surrounding who starts on Saturday. Interestingly, it has now been claimed that the Liverpool head coach has already made his decision.

Luis Diaz set to return for Liverpool
Gakpo was one of Liverpool’s best players against West Ham. The Dutchman looked determined to prove a point and duly did so.
Two lovely finishes in injury time underlined what he can offer Liverpool when cutting in from wide positions onto his right foot.
Gakpo worked well in tandem with Kostas Tsimikas, but with Andy Robertson likely to come back in against Wolves, half of that duo will be removed.
In front of Robertson, it really is a big call for Slot. Some would deem it to be a ‘good headache’ but it probably doesn’t feel like that to the man who has to make the decision.

But according to The Athletic, make a decision the Dutchman has.
They claim that despite Gakpo’s goal-scoring heroics in the Carabao Cup, Diaz is ‘set to return’ to the starting line-up in the Premier League.
With Gakpo clearly champing at the bit to force his way into the side, Lucho is going to have to raise his game once again to keep that starting spot.
Who will win the battle between Diaz and Gakpo?
Although Gakpo looked a threat all game long against West Ham, Slot is still right to bring Diaz back in to face Wolves.
It was a similar story last midweek, when Gakpo laid down a bit of a marker in the Champions League against AC Milan.
Following his good performance, it felt as though Slot would give his countryman another go on the left wing at the weekend against Bournemouth.
But the boss brought Diaz back and the Colombian scored a brace. If Gakpo is in good form, then Diaz is shining even more brightly.
In the long-term, it still remains to be seen if one or both of these players can keep up this level. For now, though, Gakpo is poised to pounce on any Diaz slip and vice-versa. It’s Lucho’s to lose at the moment.
