Liverpool have started the new Premier League season on a tear, and one of the key performers this season has been Luis Diaz.
Jamie Carragher named Diaz as Liverpool’s Man of the Match against Manchester United with the winger already on three goals and an assist in three Premier League games, with the forward making the left-wing position his own.
With Diaz also winning plaudits this international break with Colombia, the former FC Porto star has really taken to the new season well, with the attacker finally showing the world just how good he can be at top form.
And Colombia manager Nestor Lorenzo has now shared how Diaz is proving critics wrong.

Diaz’s goalscoring form has transformed his reputation
Speaking to the press, the Colombia manager noted how Diaz’s goalscoring form for club and country is seeing the 27-year-old attacker’s reputation improve, with the forward scoring against Peru last week.
With Argentina coming up next for Los Cafeteros in FIFA World Cup qualifying, Diaz will be up for revenge after losing the Copa America final, and Lorenzo believes the attacker is starting to prove his critics wrong.
The Colombia manager said when asked about Diaz’s form and how the winger is starting to show his best form: “The stars are always on everyone’s lips and are observed in a particular and more acute way.
“Three or four months ago the issue was why he didn’t score goals for Colombia, now he has become our top scorer in the qualifiers. We started to say: ‘He is going to score goals’, and he is scoring them. I am not worried, for me, Luis is doing a good job, let’s let it flow because he does it well.”

Diaz has really come out of his shell this season
Diaz’s form for Liverpool has been quietly inconsistent, with the former Porto man showing that he has the quality to be a real threat in the Premier League yet not putting up the numbers to back his form.
Yet this season has seen Diaz really come out of his shell and turn into a monster of an attacker, with the winger also translating his form for Liverpool onto the international stage with Colombia this month.
Indeed, Diaz could be about to become the player many Liverpool fans expected the forward to become at Anfield, and the 27-year-old could enjoy his best year yet in England if can keep it up.
