Federico Chiesa was Liverpool’s big signing this summer, with the winger joining from Juventus in a deal worth just £12m.
The Italian international has been rumoured with a move to the Premier League for some time, with Chiesa finally making the switch this transfer window with Liverpool now the 26-year-old forward’s new home.
Despite the last few seasons being underwhelming due to injury and form, Chiesa arrives to Merseyside with a big reputation and a lot of excitement, with Liverpool seemingly the perfect club for the attacker to get his career back off the ground.
And Premier League icon Paolo Di Canio has now shared a message to Chiesa after joining Liverpool.

Chiesa warned breaking into Liverpool’s starting XI will be ‘very difficult’
Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, the former West Ham forward noted how it will be hard for Chiesa to break into Liverpool’s starting XI, with the Reds having arguably the best array of attackers out of any team in the Premier League.
Di Canio said: “I’m happy for Chiesa. He made us dream during the Euros, I hoped he could become a champion and a key player for Juventus and Italy. Unfortunately, serious injuries and some recurring problems did not allow him to make a leap in quality in terms of knowledge, technical-tactical improvement and his game.

“When he came back, he focused on his quality and his individual play. He didn’t fit into Thiago Motta’s plans and his style of play, but in the end, he found a new opportunity at Liverpool, a team that works and continues to do so. He will be a reserve, and it will be very difficult for him to become a starter, although you can never say never.
“With players of the caliber of Luis Diaz, Salah, Gakpo and Nunez, it will be very difficult for him to find a place. I hope he can carve out an important role in a wonderful city and in a fantastic stadium. I wish him the best and I hope he can find what he lost a few years ago, which is a prominent role thanks to his talent.”

Chiesa will be show to prove his quality at Liverpool
Chiesa’s career hasn’t gone in the direction that many expected from the Italian international, with Darren Bent recently claiming that the winger was once worth as much as £70m after Euro 2020.
Yet Liverpool is a club where fallen greats can come to revive their career, and Chiesa will be set on doing just that having now officially signed for the Anfield giants this summer.
Indeed, Italian attackers haven’t had the best of times in the Premier League of late, and Chiesa will be driven to break this stereotype with Liverpool, where the winger can become a real star.
