Liverpool were once again victorious against Manchester United, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz the heroes on the day.

The Colombian international bagged a brace as Diaz was named Man of the Match, whereas his attacking partner scored the third and final goal as Salah was hailed alongside Kenny Dalglish as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players.

With Liverpool three for three in the Premier League and yet to concede a goal, life under new manager Arne Slot has been quite the enjoyable ride for the Reds, who head into the international break joint-top with Manchester City.

And Andy Robertson was impressed with what he’s seen from the squad, particularly from Salah and Diaz.

Robertson in awe with Diaz and Salah’s work-rate

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, the Scottish international noted how everyone’s work-rate has increased significantly since the arrival of Slot, with Diaz and Salah showing how much the squad is now pushing.

The wingers were exceptional against United and showed why they’re two of the best attackers in the Premier League, and Robertson was impressed with what he saw from Diaz and Salah at Old Trafford.

“Since minute one the head coach has come in and said that’s what he wants from all of us, not just the back line, it’s about the wingers, the strikers and the midfielders working hard.

“It’s about the subs when they come on working hard, and that’s what will get you game time. Mo and Lucho, a lot will be spoken about their goals and assists today but their work-rate was second to none and they worked so hard for the team.”

Liverpool already look outstanding under Slot

Liverpool’s style of play hasn’t changed too much since the days of Jurgen Klopp, yet Slot has evolved the squad, and the Reds look outstanding because of it.

The Anfield side are yet to concede a goal and have looked dangerous in every game this season, with this weekend’s win against United the best yet from Slot since taking over at Liverpool.

After the international break, Liverpool can go on to make a real statement in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, where even more wins will be huge in both competitions.
