Liverpool secured another big win against Manchester United with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah the heroes for the Reds.

The Anfield attackers were at their brilliant best as Arne Slot extended his 100% Premier League winning record to three games, with the Dutch coach proving to be quite the fit for Liverpool even with the shadow of Jurgen Klopp looming large.

With Liverpool joint-top of the English top-flight alongside Manchester City, the Merseyside giants have started the new season in fantastic form, with Slot seemingly cracking the code already on how to win in the Premier League.

And Jamie Carragher has now placed one Liverpool player amongst the greatest to ever play for the club.

Mohamed Salah hailed as one of Liverpool’s greatest

Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Anfield defender showered Salah with praise after scoring yet again against United this afternoon, with Carragher putting the winger amongst the likes of Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

With Salah ranked fifth on Liverpool’s all-time goalscorer list and likely to replace Billy Liddell at fourth, it’s easy to see why Carragher has lauded the Egyptian as highly as he has, with the 32-year-old one of the best Anfield has ever seen.

Carragher said on Salah: “I think the way the lad looks after himself, I think he is probably looking at maybe playing till he is 40 or certainly late 30s. I don’t think a Saudi situation if you like is on the cards next season for Mo Salah.

“He is too good a player. He is playing in the best league in the world, playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. I think whether it’s this season or another two seasons down the line, he is alongside Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard in terms of the top players to ever play for Liverpool.”

Salah is already one of the best Liverpool has ever seen

Salah might have only joined Liverpool seven years ago, but the impact the former Chelsea man has made during his time on Merseyside is nothing short of extraordinary.

The winger has shattered more records than anyone during his time with Liverpool, and with at least one more season at Anfield guaranteed for Salah, the forward can create even more history in the coming months.

Indeed, Salah deserves his place amongst the likes of Dalglish and Gerrard, with Liverpool fans unlikely to see a winger as good as the Egyptian for quite some time.
