Federico Chiesa was the big signing Liverpool made this summer, with the Juventus winger joining with quite some fanfare earlier this week.
The Italian international is regarded as a top performer and a player who, when fit and healthy, is one of the best forwards in the world, with Trent Alexander-Arnold excited about Liverpool’s move for Chiesa this summer.
Although Chiesa won’t feature for Liverpool today against Manchester United, the 26-year-old forward could this season become a key member for the Reds in their bid to win silverware in Arne Slot’s first year in charge at Anfield.
And Tony Cascarino believes Chiesa could cause some Liverpool players to become unsettled.

Chiesa could ‘unsettle’ some Liverpool players once he’s fit and firing
Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit made the interesting claim that Chiesa could make some Liverpool players feel uncomfortable about their spot in the starting XI once he’s fit and back in form for the Reds.
With Chiesa capable of playing across the entire attacking three, the likes of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo could find themselves on the bench more often than usual if Chiesa can hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Indeed, whilst Mohamed Salah’s position out on the right is locked down for the remainder of the season, Chiesa will be knocking on the door for every attacking spot this campaign, and the Italian will want to prove himself in a big way.
Cascarino said: “Chiesa was let go by Juventus because he was a high earner. He has also suffered an enormous amount of injuries, and he was very cheap. I don’t see Chiesa starting for Liverpool, but he might unsettle a few to get an opportunity.”

Chiesa could become Liverpool’s next attacking superstar
Chiesa has had an interesting career where injuries have certainly played their role, with the winger 26-years-old and still yet to hit the heights many expected from the former ACF Fiorentina star.
However, at Liverpool, there’s every chance that Chiesa could become reborn under Slot, and the forward could become the Reds’ next attacking superstar alongside Salah in the front-line.
Indeed, Chiesa has some way to go until he’s tearing up the Premier League, but the quality and the potential is there, and the winger will be keen to get down to business for his new club in the coming weeks.
