Liverpool once again secured a famous win at Old Trafford with a 3-0 victory against Manchester United.

Arne Slot extended his 100% winning record in the Premier League to three games with the Reds also yet to concede a goal in the division, with United simply no match for Liverpool’s system in Manchester today.

With Luis Diaz winning Man of the Match and Ryan Gravenberch being compared to Patrick Vieira, it was quite a shift for some Liverpool players, with the Anfield side already looking like early contenders for the Premier League title.

And Andy Robertson has now said one Liverpool player is looking happier than ever after the win.

Alisson Becker ‘happy’ after quiet Liverpool performance vs Manchester United

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, Robertson noted how Alisson Becker is now happy having had to deal with little to no shots today against United, with Liverpool’s defence improving massively this season under Slot.

With the Reds struggling to keep clean sheets last campaign under Jurgen Klopp, the turnaround over the course of just one summer has been nothing short of incredible from Slot, who has cracked the code on how to keep Liverpool’s backline watertight.

And Robertson is pleased to see Alisson happy with how little work the Brazilian has had to do this season, with United hardly testing the former AS Roma superstar at Old Trafford today.

Robertson said: “Alisson had too many shots to save last season. I think he’s been happy with the people in front of him so far. It’s about the whole unit working hard. The wingers put in an unbelievable shift and it helps the boys at the back.”

Alisson could enjoy his best season yet for Liverpool

Alisson is rightly regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and one of Liverpool’s most important players in the six years the 31-year-old has spent at Anfield.

And this season could see Alisson enjoy his best year yet at Liverpool, with the Reds yet to concede a goal and looking as good as they ever have done at the back with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in central defence.

Indeed, Alisson’s quality is known by everyone, and the Brazilian will want to show why he’s one of the best in the world in his position this season at Liverpool.
