Arne Slot secured his second Premier League win as manager of Liverpool with Luis Diaz scoring the opening goal against Brentford.
The Colombian international capped off a fantastic counterattacked with a world-class finish past Mark Flekken, with Liverpool claiming maximum points from their first two Premier League games of the new season.
Although Slot is yet to make any new additions this summer, Liverpool look as strong as ever to challenge for the title, with the Reds showing against Brentford that they have the quality across all areas of the pitch to take on anyone in the Premier League.
Yet the new Liverpool boss was spotted doing something rather odd on the touchline for Diaz’s opener.

Slot celebrated Diaz’s opener slapping his Liverpool staff
As per BBC Sport’s Neil Johnston, Slot chose to celebrate his first-ever professional goal at Anfield as Liverpool manager by slapping the hands of his backroom staff as Diaz capped off a brilliant counterattack with a top finish.
With Liverpool fans used to Jurgen Klopp’s crazy method of celebrating after the last nine years, the change to Slot is something that supporters might need some time getting used to.
However, it’s clear that the Dutch coach is just as passionate in celebrating in his own little way, with Slot turning to his fellow staff rather than taking on the Anfield crowd head-on.
Yet this is something that Liverpool fans might endear to, especially with Slot getting off to such a good start as the new manager of the Merseyside giants.

Slot is proving to be a big hit at Anfield already
Two convincing wins from two Premier League games is as perfect a start Slot could have asked for since taking over from Klopp this summer, with Liverpool matching Arsenal and Manchester City.
And for Slot, the Dutch coach is proving to be quite the hit at Anfield already, with the former Feyenoord manager understanding the size of the job he has in his hands having succeeded one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever figures.
Indeed, Slot is setting himself up for high expectations in his first year at Liverpool, and the Reds’ boss will want to do all he can to get supporters on his side as quickly as possible.
