Liverpool fans have spoken out after Fenway Sports Group (FSG) sanctioned the sale of Bobby Clark to Red Bull Salzburg.
Clark’s move was inspired by Sadio Mane, with the young midfielder joining the Austrian club after three years at Liverpool.
Harvey Elliott has reacted to Clark’s exit, with the latter having made 14 senior appearances during his time at Anfield.
Clark joined the Reds from Newcastle United in 2021, making his debut a year later in a league clash with Bournemouth.
The 19-year-old netted once for the Reds, and featured under Jurgen Klopp in the memorable League Cup final win over Chelsea earlier this year.

Liverpool fans angry with FSG after Bobby Clark joins Red Bull Salzburg
He now reunites with former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders, who is the manager of RB Salzburg, after being allowed to leave by FSG.
But the move has not gone down well with the Anfield faithful, with one fan commenting on X: “Shocking how many talented youngsters we’re letting go with no replacements… an already thin squad is looking threadbare now.”
A second said: “Lads, great work on selling our promising young players, some of whom contributed significantly last season and helped to get us back into Champions League.
Is there any chance you could apply the same endeavour and focus to signing players so that we can challenge this year?”
A third wrote: “Gutted! Is this the future of Liverpool, no youth coming through and Trent leaving. There will be no academy products, we’ve always had academy players within the squad for as long as I can remember.”
A fourth commented: “Another midfielder away – no replacement in. Squad depth ridiculous. Are we skint?”
A fifth said: “Struggling to see the plan here, selling young players when experienced players are in the last year on their contract. Hopefully signings on the way.”
Other angry fans noted: “Why are we letting out talented youngsters go?” and “Sigh. Why do you keep doing this? This lad is solid man!”
Bobby Clark reunites with former Liverpool coach Pep Lijnders
Fans are rightfully annoyed that Clark has not only left Anfield, but has been allowed to leave on a permanent deal.
Other clubs are sending their young stars out on loan in order to help them develop, with Liverpool having gone down that route with other players this summer.

The likes of Rhys Williams, Lewis Koumas and Luke Chambers have all left Merseyside on a temporary basis, ready to be welcomed back in the near future.
But that is not the case for Clark, who has said goodbye to his Liverpool teammates in order to take on a new challenge.
The Anfield faithful may even direct a lot of their anger to Lijnders, who clearly knows what a talented player the midfielder is.
