Luis Diaz and Bobby Clark both very impressed by one Liverpool player in friendly vs Sevilla

Luis Diaz and Bobby Clark were delighted with the display of one of their Liverpool teammates against Sevilla.

Diaz showed off a new hairstyle upon returning to pre-season, with the winger joined by the likes of Darwin Nunez and Virgil van Dijk.

Arne Slot now has his full Liverpool squad available, with the boss now winning his first pre-season match at Anfield.

The Reds defeated Sevilla 4-1 on home soil, before drawing 0-0 with Las Palmas in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Diaz scored twice in the commanding win on Merseyside, with Diogo Jota and young star Trey Nyoni also on target.

Alexis Mac Allister meanwhile made his first performance under Slot, with the midfielder starting and playing 74 minutes.

Slot singled out Mac Allister upon his Liverpool return, with the Argentine among the later arrivals after his Copa America exploits.

Both Diaz and Clark were impressed with his display at Anfield, with the duo reacting to his post on Instagram.

Liverpool fans will still be unsure of what to expect under Slot, having enjoyed so many successful years under Jurgen Klopp.

But the Anfield faithful certainly got an insight into how their new manager wants to play football, with the Reds enjoying plenty of success with his approach.

Slot guided Liverpool to three wins from three against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in the US, before beating Sevilla at Anfield.

The goalless draw against Las Palmas meanwhile ensured he ended his first pre-season at the club undefeated.

However, it will all mean nothing if the side cannot take that form into their opening Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town.
