Liverpool continued their preparations for the new season when they took on Sevilla at Anfield in a friendly match on Sunday.
Arne Slot’s team have been very busy in recent days, as Liverpool build up to what will be the Dutchman’s first campaign in charge of the Reds.
Before the game against Sevilla, Liverpool had played against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in pre-season friendly games.
The Merseyside club beat Betis 1-0, got the better of the Gunners 2-1 and eased past the Red Devils 3-0.
The match against Sevilla was the first time for Slot in the dugout at Anfield as the Liverpool manager. It ended in a comfortable 4-1 win for the Reds, who were always in control.

Liverpool have created the first chances of the second half.
First Diaz passed to Salah and over-hit it, and then Gravenberch decided not to shoot from Szoboszlai’s cut-back when he should have gone for gone.

Slot is playing a 4-2-3-1 formation at the moment. I think that the Liverpool manager will not stick to one system this season. He will tweak his formations depending on the opposition and the in-play situation.

First half: Liverpool 0-0 Sevilla
Liverpool have been the better team and look pretty solid at the moment. I have to say that the Reds have not been exactly exhilarating and scintillating, but Sevilla have been clearly the inferior side.

Ryan Gravenberch did not have the best of times for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp last season, but it seems that Arne Slot likes him.
The 22-year-old Netherlands international midfielder is the deepest of the three midfielders for the Reds at the moment. He is doing pretty well, I have to say.
