Liverpool supporters are expecting a busy final month of the summer transfer window.
The Reds have so far sat tight since the end of the season, now the only Premier League side not to make a senior addition to the team.
With Arne Slot now getting a much better idea of the players at his disposal in the Liverpool squad, though, it seems that the Reds will finally make their move.
Quite who they end up going concretely for as a new addition at Anfield remains something of an exciting mystery for fans.
And in the meantime, Liverpool look all set to complete a transfer which could be very significant for the academy.

Liverpool on the verge of Rio Nugmoha deal
Liverpool’s pathway from youth team to first-team must be the envy of their Premier League rivals just at the momnet.
After so much success in the past year or two, midfielder Trey Nyoni looks like the latest star coming through the ranks.
Nyoni was signed for the academy as a 16-year-old from Leicester City last summer. One year on and he now genuinely looks like a potential option for the senior side.
With other youngsters coming in from other clubs and doing well in the recent past too, you can understand why Liverpool are excited about Rio Ngumoha, who’s set to sign from Chelsea.

Liverpool signing Ngumoha was first reported as being due to happen around three weeks ago. However, given that the forward did not turn 16 util July, there has been a slight delay.
Now, though, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are ‘finally’ set to complete the deal.
“Liverpool are finally set to complete PL 5 step investigation process for Rio Ngumoha to join the club,” Romano reports on X.
“2008 born talent has already agreed to the move after he left Chelsea, as revealed weeks ago.
Exclusive story, set to be officially confirmed by LFC soon.”
Will Rio Ngumoha be in the Liverpool first-team?
There is huge excitement over Ngumoha joining Liverpool. And for good reason. According to notable X account ‘The Secret Scout,’ the 16-year-old is an ‘exceptional prospect.’
The reason that there is so much expectation over the youngster is of course because of the other talents Liverpool have helped develop over recent years.
The Reds do not tend to sign one of these talents unless they have a clear plan of how to use them.
Ben Doak, Harvey Elliott, Bobby Clark and the rest had to be patient upon initially joining Liverpool. That will be no different for Ngumoha.
He’ll have to impress in the U18s and U21s first. But, slowly, we’d expect to start to see Ngumoha involved in senior training. If he’s as good as everyone seems to think he is, then the Reds could be about to sign a future starter.
