Liverpool staff members have reportedly been left impressed by one youngster who is starting to catch the eye in pre-season.
Arne Slot’s side got off to a winning start on their tour of the United States with a 1-0 victory against Real Betis, with a number of youngsters such as Vitezslav Jaros, Luca Stephenson and Ben Doak all impressing in Pittsburgh.
With so many academy graduates on in the Liverpool squad, it’s no real surprise that some are starting to catch the eye of the first-team staff, with the Reds missing key players through featuring in the Euros and Copa America.
Yet there’s one youngster who is really impressing Liverpool officials this summer.

According to the Times, 17-year-old midfielder Trey Nyoni has stood out already to Liverpool staff, with the teenager impressing against Betis this week despite playing just 40 minutes in the match.
Hailed by Slot and Dominik Szoboszlai for his performance, Nyoni only joined the Reds last year and has since gone on to make his professional first-team debut, with next season set to be a big one for the England youth international.
Hailed as ‘special’ by Liverpool fans, Nyoni could easily break into Slot’s first-team plans given how open the Dutch coach is to giving youngsters chances in the senior squad if they prove they’re ready for the opportunity.
