Liverpool players are getting used to a new way of training under head coach Arne Slot.
The Reds have been ramping up their pre-season preparations having headed out to the USA for a three-game tour.
After so long with Jurgen Klopp as manager, the Liverpool squad will have become used to what’s asked of them ahead of each campaign.
But with Slot now taking over, the Dutchman has started to implement his own ideas. Slot could be seen barking orders at his Liverpool players during training on Wednesday and he looks like hands-on kind of coach.
It isn’t just the former Feyenoord boss who the Reds are having to become accustomed to, though. Slot has also brought in a whole new coaching team, too.

Dominik Szoboszlai shares training observation
So far under Slot, Sipke Hulshoff, John Heitinga and the rest, it has largely been a mixture of fringe and academy players for them to run the rule over.
With many of Liverpool’s biggest stars still away, the real stuff is in many ways yet to come.
For now, Dominik Szoboszlai is one of the most notable names to have returned. Along with Mohamed Salah, Szoboszlai is one of the few near-certain starters that Slot has met.
As a result, plenty will be expected from the Hungarian during training. Only 23 himself, Dom will be relied upon to set the tone for his younger teammates.

And speaking to liverpoolfc.com, Szoboszlai has weighed in on how he feels the sessions have gone so far.
“It’s a little bit different – the style of playing, how we play, how we are with the ball and also against the ball,” says the midfielder.
“Everybody’s in from the training staff [and] we are getting to know them. I think everybody is happy with it and we are looking forward.
“It’s quite intense but we have a lot of things to do and we need to be intense in the season as well,” he adds.
More needed from Dominik Szoboszlai
One of the most exciting aspects of Slot replacing Klopp at Liverpool will be seeing how he plans on using each and every member of his squad.
Although Liverpool liked Slot because he plays a similar style to Klopp, there will invariably be differences – both big and small – in how he lines the team up.
Having had a difficult end to the season with Klopp, Szoboszlai could be one who really benefits from this. There should be excitement over the levels the former RB Leipzig man can reach.
For him to reach those peaks, though, he needs to be healthy. It has been claimed that Szoboszlai was not fully fit during the recent Euros and it’s vital that he shakes off that issue before getting back on the pitch.
The Hungary captain did feature during Friday’s friendly with Preston but his minutes need to be managed to ensure the intensity does not get to Szoboszlai before the season has started.
