Liverpool are reportedly set to keep one of their most highly-rated youngsters on Merseyside ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States.
The Reds will this week fly out to America with Arne Slot set to take on some big teams across the US, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Spanish side Real Betis, with preparations fully underway.
Whilst a number of big-name players won’t be on the plane to America due to the Euros and Copa America, Liverpool are still expected to bring a strong squad across the Atlantic, where we will start to see Slot’s vision for his side heading into the new Premier League season.
Yet one youngster is expected to remain behind in Liverpool this summer.

Bobby Clark set to remain at Liverpool due to injury
According to the Liverpool Echo, midfielder Bobby Clark will not make the trip to America this summer with the youngster still recovering from a back injury, which caused the teenager to miss the Reds’ behind-closed-doors friendly against Preston North End last week.
A player Jurgen Klopp has tipped for a big future at Liverpool, Clark was a breakthrough prospect last season as the 19-year-old featured regularly for the Reds, making 13 appearances in all competitions and scoring one goal.

Also tipped by Fernando Torres to become a top player, Clark’s injury could not have come at a more frustrating time for the youngster, with the midfielder missing out on the chance to impress Slot with so many first-team players absent from pre-season.
Indeed, Clark will want to be back in action as soon as possible this summer, and missing out on the trip to the United States should be used as fuel for the midfielder to impress the Liverpool coaches once they’re all back from America.

Clark will be determined to impress Slot after the US tour
Having not played since April, it’s clear that Clark’s injury needs to proper management and the best treatment needed if the youngster is to return to the pitch as soon as possible this year.
Yet for Clark, the youngster will be determined to impress Slot and Liverpool’s new coaches when they return from the US tour, with the midfielder a prospect who could make a real impact with the Reds in the new season.
The 19-year-old is rightly one of the most highly-rated youngsters at Liverpool, and if Clark can return from his injury sooner rather than later, there’s every chance that the midfielder can win over the favour of Slot in the upcoming campaign.
